Moriaogaeru, the forest-green tree frog, lives in limited areas like swamps etc. where the environment suits them, but when wetlands are destroyed it is impossible for them to live. In Fukushima Prefecture’s Red Data Book, they are listed as an extremely rare species.

The tree frogs in the Nanatsumori district also are in danger of extinction, so we must be careful. Recently, there is no special fence in the area to keep people from entering without permission and ruining the ecosystem. Please refrain from entering the forest and the area around the pond when you wish to observe them.
