This cherry tree is in what is believed to have been the garden of Aizu feudal Lord Ashina's chief vassal, Ishibejiro Daisuke, and it is one of Aizu's five famous cherry trees.
About 600 years old, we think, this Yoshino cherry tree opens early, and it really stands out in the middle of all the rice fields. The best time to see it in from middle to the end of April.
