The renowned "Awamanju" originated at Aizu Yanaizu.
This carries on the traditional taste we associate with Enzo temple and one of Japan's three Bodhisattva , Fukuman Kokuzoson,
Passed down through four generations, this Aizu confectionery has never changed the mild taste that everyone loves.
"So we will meet (awa) no disaster" we pray as we make them. There is a chewy mochi rice texture with lovely yellow bubbles (awa) in the skin, which we make diligently, stuff with top quality bean paste, and then steam.
