This is convenient for those who come by bus, because the route begins near the bus stop. It can also be used as a base, because there are many hot spring inns at the start of the trail. At first, the forest walk has a fresh air green shower feeling. Climbing up the natural stone steps left on the crater wall after the eruption, you will be engrossed by the sight of the Azuma Range and Lake Hibara to the north.
It takes about three hours and fifty minutes to climb, and roughly two hours and forty minutes to descend.
