Inside this lakeside forest, you can find Tenkyokaku and Geihinkan (formerly the villa of Takamatsu Nomiya), and national youth hostel, Okinajimaso. There are five natural walking trails through the lakeside forest: Meiji No Komichi (0.5 km), Yasuragi No Komichi (2.2 km, Tenkyo No Komichi (1.3 km), Omoide No Komichi (0.8 km), and Makiba No Komochi (2.6 km). On Omoide Trail, you can see the enormous natural stone "Sanpo seki" on which the entire "Tenkyo Kaku Ki" has been engraved. Tenkyo Trail has "Koyozan Tenbodai" a spot to view the fall colors and Lake Inawashiro. In the winter there are ski lessons, groups get together in the snow to appreciate the nature, and folks from all over the prefecture who enjoy ski-hiking gather here for this, and other activities.
