Gently wrapped up in nature,“Manyotei Inn” extends a warm welcome.
≪This place of lodging is a small inn along a mountain stream, a bit far from the hot spring town with its many onsens. You can see trees all around us, changing during the seasons, and our baths are the best because they are all made of wood. You hear only the murmur of the river and the rustling of the leaves. Together with nature in a relaxing area, the fatigue of travel turns into a comfortable feeling along with runnels of your perspiration. ≫
We use mostly seasonal ingredients in our meals, foodstuffs from the hills prepared in traditional Japanese style.
Some locally brewed sake goes perfectly with our dishes.
*Nakanosawa - Numajiri Onsen is the original source.
Every minute, “13,400 liters” pour forth, the highest amount in Japan.
The hot spring got its start 250 years ago. Local people dug this by hand during a break in their farm-work, at first making only a small spring, but finally Japan’s greatest flow, which we brag about because, as everyone knows, this hot water is good for beautiful skin.
