"Michi No Eki Bandai Tokuitsu No Sato Kirari" road station is located midway on the Inawashiro Shiokawa Line off of main route, Highway 49. A part of the book Manyoshu, "Aizu Ryo" lists Mt. Bandai among Japan's 100 most famous mountains because of its majestic nature and scenery of all seasons; and in 2008 we restored the ruins of historic Enichi Temple, the starting point of Aizu's Buddhist culture, where you can learn about this history. In addition, in winter this is northeast Japan's largest ski area, and at "Alts Bandai" you can enjoy winter sports. At this road station we have products from the area for sale, like "Qrganic buckwheat" used in handmade soba, buckwheat soft ice cream, and other things.
There is an abundance of history, culture, and nature here, so when you visit, please take your time experiencing it all.
