The grandson of Oda Nobunaga's subordinate, Mori Ranmaru, was born in 1619 in Tokyo, and when he was small he studied about Hayashirazan . Hoshina Masayuki was damiyo, and in 1664 ordered him to study Shinto. Yoshikawa Koretari taught him at Hanitsu Shrine, and he became the first priest. He played a major role in bringing Shinto to Aizu, and because Shinto grew and burgeoned, he had accomplished a great task.
In his will he expressed his wish to be buried at the foot of the mountain near Masayuki's grave.
