Made in the Aizu style, as we refer to it now, this is the mausoleum of Aizu Lord Gamo Ujisato's son, Gamo Hideyuki.

Gamo Hideyuki was born in 1583 of Gamo Ujisato and Oda Nobunaga痴 daughter. In Bunroku 4 (1595), his father Ujisato suddenly died so he acquired an area valued at 250,000 tons of rice. After that Toyotomi Hideyoshi ordered Gamo to move to Utsunomiya, with 180,000 tons. However, he triumphed in the Battle of Sekigahara and so forth, and because Tokugawa Ieyasu recognized his good showing, in Keicho 3 (1601) he received Aizu's 600,000 tons. In May of Keichi 17 (1612), he died at the age of 30, and now sleeps here.

It has made the list of prefecture's important buildings and is a designated historic landmark in the city.
