This is what is left of the renowned garden and home of Aizu clan's chief retainer, Naito .

Following the Meiji Era it became the front yard of the courthouse, but there are still remnants of the excellent garden that used to be here. Many Himalayan cedars, Trident maples, Japanese white pine, Dwarf Japanese yews, azaleas, and other types of shrubs were planted here. It is also a precious green space at the historic gateway to Tsuruga Castle.
