In the fire of August, Meiji 20 (1887), many valuables, documents etc. were incinerated, so we have no information about the construction of the temple gate, except for the undulating bargeboard front of the gambrel roof of the temple gate that was left. We think it was built in early Edo. We know the special embossed and carved transoms, pillars, etc. refer to the Momoyama style of architecture
