Yama-gun, Bandai-machi (historic site of Enichi Temple ruins)
After Tokuichi's death, Konyo kept up Enichi Temple, it is said, and after that it achieved great prosperity all through the Heian Period.
Nevertheless, at the end of Heian, during the Genpei War, he helped the Taira family, so it fell into rapid decline and at the end of the Middle Ages, when Date's people attacked Aizu, the temple was completely destroyed and done for.
During the Edo Period it was guarded by the Aizu clan who preserved a small part, but after the anti-Buddhist movement during the Meiji Era, there remained only temple ruins.
However, by the sincere desire of local residents, in Meiji 37 (1904), the temple name of Enichi was revived and it lives on to this day.
Furthermore, it should be noted from literature etc. that different sects from the Hosso sect to the Tendai sect and currently the Shingon sect have been here.
