Facing Route 49, this harbor is a casting-off and landing site for pleasure boats and yachts. The shore area is shallow for quite a way out, and calm and suitable for swimming or other water play, and in the summer is very crowded. In winter swans and ducks from Siberia come flying in to this wintering ground, so it is a popular place for observing the wild birds from close-up as they approach and search for food. This harbor opened a long time ago and the road was undeveloped then, so this was the main port for transport by ship until the Showa Period. There is a short, sandy beach with yachts, motor boats and pleasure craft.
