Built during the early Meiji Era, this warehouse makes a long-fermented "Aizu Marakoshi handmade miso" with top quality domestic soybeans and Aizu rice as ingredients, plenty of koji, and reduced salt, so you can eat miso that is kind to the body and worry-free. Usually we use miso as soup stock but please appreciate the taste of plain true miso just as it is.
Our top recommendation here is "Spicy perilla miso" The perilla smell with the miso and spicy hot chili go great with rice and you will eat more and more. It tastes great with cucumbers and skewered roasted tofu, or spread on soft rice cakes.
