Bandai Hachiman is on a cedar-lined avenue, with an Enichi Temple guardian deity installed, and at this shrine the revered Bandai miracle-working god is kept separate from other Shinto and Buddhist gods.
Here, every year at the vernal equinox the "Funahiki" festival is held to foretell the year's harvest.
On the same day they hold the "Miko Mai" composed of three dances, first the "Sakaki No Mai" then "Yumi No Mai" and finally the "Tachi No Mai" as a votive presentation.
These traditions have been designated as important intangible folk cultural assets of Fukushima Prefecture.
