This temple gate was supposedly donated by Taira Masakado
It was built in the middle of the Edo Period. It is one of few buildings of Enichi temple from the early modern period.
We don't know exactly when it was painted, but during the Middle Ages, the Enichi Temple compound was painted with the area's scenery, "Kinu Honcho Iro Enichi Temple painting"
In the Muromachi Era, Eisho 8(1511) it was repaired, according to records, and finally major restoration was done in 2003(Heisei 15).
