This is the tomb of 14th generation Inawashiro Moritane, the last lord of Kamega Castle. His father, Morikuni, performed an act of treachery against Date Masamune but quite independently Moritane supported him against Aizu Ashina. When Date's military forces and Ashina's force met at the Battle of Surigamihara, Moritane was severely wounded and went to Yokozawa (now, Koriyama Konan Town). After that, he died in Uchino at the age of 77. This grave showing pride in Moritane's hard effort was built by Usui Heimon in Uchino Village and the pagoda is right below National Bandai Youth Group Home.
