In addition, after the Edo Period it became the birthplace of exemplary military tactician Yamaga Soko, and this monument made of local natural stone is inscribed "In the spring of Taisho 15 (1926), Field Marshal Earl Togo Heihajiro inscribed this to commemorate Yamaga Soko."
In the closing days of the Era, as a man of deep thinking, Soko had a big effect on how people thought, and moreover, taught the famous Akoroshi.
