Onogawa Lake was created by the mud and rock flow from the eruption that dammed up the Onogawa Gorge and filled the area with water. The area of the lake is 1.4 square kilemeters, with an undulating shoreline, and the Bandai-Azuma Lake-line running along the south side and continuing the splendid lakeside scenery. Dotted with small islands, it is called the 溺atsushima of Bandai・ and has camps and canoe docking here and there.
