Suiho is an unusual log home soba shop located where the Lake Line separates from the Gold Line. All of our carefully chosen ingredients come from Urabandai.
Urabandai really stands for mountain vegetables. We use wild vegetables in our especially popular tenzaru (tempura with cold soba for dipping). We offer handmade soba and udon. The dipping sauce is also homemade. In the autumn, the owner sows the buckwheat seeds, and after it has grown, processes it completely himself and offers it to you.
Why only in the fall? It is the particular time of year best for planting buckwheat. Please eat “Teiuchi (handmade) soba” grown with the air and water of Urabandai.
In addition, we recommend our always popular “So-sukatsu Don” and “Yamashio Ramen”!
When you visit Urabandai, please come and visit us.
