This important Aizu milestone dates back to Kanbun 7(1667). Because Japanese Hackberry trees (enoki) were planted on top of the mound it is called Enokidan . This milestone is located about 20 kilometers along the Nihonmatsu Road from Wakamatsu, and one part is above Fudo Village. In addition, in the area (around Sanchuhi), the red pine trees planted in the area ages ago remain along the tree-lined Oji Road. Along with Yoji milestone, it is important in understanding the old way of travel.
